THE PALMS OF LIGHT PROLOGUE!

Author Pat’s back and falling deep into a writing routine again. Oh does it feel good to have the fingers a-tapping and the mind a-flowing with creativity. All it took was waking up a tad earlier than usual to get a solid hour of writing in before the stresses of the day took over. It’s as simple as that, folks.

I’m still not where I used to be with my writing speed. Writing is a muscle and if you don’t consistently strengthen it, it will weaken over time. And I’m definitely feeling the drag. But by showing up every day, fighting through the fears trying to pull me away from that keyboard, I see improvement. Not only in how fast I’m writing, but also in the story. I can tell it’s a good day when I blink and all of a sudden it’s been forty minutes and I realize I was absorbed in the world of my story.

To celebrate and to share my thanks for your support, I want to share a sneak peak chapter with you all! This is the prologue of The Palms of Light. I’d say it’s about 90% finished. I may make some very small tweaks right before the final draft. Please let me know what you think of it!

Book Coaching

As many of you know, a few weeks ago I announced my Book Coaching business. I’m super excited for this new direction in my life. I’ll be able to combine the last five years of teaching experience with what I love most: writing.

I no longer want to teach in the public schools. Instead I want to help people who want to write a book to gain the confidence, routine, and skills to do it in just three months. Just like my Book Coach did for me. I would not be where I am right now if it wasn’t for him. He opened my eyes to a whole new world of possibilities by teaching me about the publishing and writing world. Now I want to share that knowledge with you.

If you have a story idea and are struggling to get it down on paper, or know someone who is struggling, hop on a FREE discovery call where we’ll discuss your writing goals:
