Today is my birthday and I finally made it back home to New Jersey! We had a nice family dinner last night to celebrate with all the grandparents and a few cousins. Today I went to the Ramapo reservation to do some hiking in this crazy weather we have been having. To further celebrate, I am going to be playing some Settlers of Catan tonight with a few friends…getting a little wild.
With all the birthday shenanigans going on, I was able to sneak in a little bit of writing. I am slowly making my way to 50,000 words to finally be rid of NaNoWriMo for good but the ending has been so difficult. It is pretty much looking like I need to write a 10,000 word battle scene which is the conclusion of book 2. I am sure I can pull it off somehow. I just can’t wait for this to be over with so I can finally sit down at my own pace and outline some more of the story so the pieces fit together better.
