So today I just finished the Marine Corps Marathon. I have been training for three months and I am finally done! I thought I would take this moment of not being able to feel my legs to finally start my blog.
This blog will discuss my writing experiences as I develop my second novel of my series.
I started my first book called Junkland in January 2016. I wish I had started a blog that talked about my experiences during it but I didn’t think of it at the time. It took me 9 months before I sent it out to my Beta Readers. I read through it and edited it about 4-5 times before I decided I needed to give it out to other eyes. So I am currently waiting on my Beta Reader’s feedback before I go further with Book 1 in The Hoarding Series.
Here is the synopsis of Book 1, Junkland: The Hoarding has come to Astenpoole leaving many trapped in and outside of the castle walls. The survivors must come together to put a stop to the Hoarder’s destruction before they completely take over their beloved home. Join O’Jahrys Grent, a young boy from Palor, as he unravels the mystery of these invaders and discovers a truth that lies deep within himself.
I am excited to get it finished!
In the mean time I will be participating in NaNoWriMo. For those who don’t know what that is, it stands for, National Novel Writing Month which is the month of November! Everyone who signs up needs to write 50,000 words in November to promote people to develop their creative ideas into a novel. So while I am waiting for my feedback for Junkland, I will be busy writing Book 2 of The Hoarding Series.
I will keep everyone posted on here about my entire experience through the month of November. I am looking forward to it!
