Congrats to my client, Michelle Cray, for publishing her memoir!

I couldn’t be more proud of Michelle. It takes guts to write a novel. But to write a memoir about your life, returning to old trauma and revisiting uncomfortable memories you once chose to forget, that is hard. You already lived it once. Now you’re choosing to live through it a second time.

But there is also relief in battling through to the end. Some closure. Some peace. And that is exactly the transformation Michelle experienced by releasing this book. Peace for herself, but also peace in knowing her words and her story will help others who are going through their own life struggles, reminding them that they are not alone.

That is exactly how I felt reading her memoir. Although our life experiences were different, I found myself relating to her journey in more ways than one. I laughed. I cried. And I looked inward, trying to make sense of my past, learn from it, and most importantly, grow.

It’s been a pleasure working with Michelle these past months and seeing her story come to life. She came to me unsure of the next steps in her writing journey. Together, we unpacked it all in a way that worked with her and her schedule. She worked hard, and it paid off.

Great job, Michelle. I’m looking forward to reading your next book.
