NaNoWriMo has officially begun. For those of you who don’t know, National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is an annual (November) writing project that brings together professional and amateur writers from all over the world. The overall goal is to write 50,000 words in 30 days.

Today is day 1 and I have officially begun writing my second book in The Hoarding Series while Junkland (Book 1) is being read by my Beta Readers. Today I focused on the prologue which I have imagined what it would look like for a solid month now. But I have to admit, the writing today was a little shaky. It might be because I am still recovering from the Marine Corps Marathon I ran this past Sunday or maybe I have just forgotten what it feels like to start a new book. I remember the first chapter I wrote for Junkland back in January was completely different after the first draft. So I will keep trucking along and keep expanding my world!

My current word count is: 1,672 words. Only 48,328 more words to go!

Wish me luck!
