I hope you enjoyed my new song I posted in my previous blog for Day 11 and I appreciate you taking the time to listen to it. I am not sure what inspired it but I did find the line, “Afternoons on Sunday,” very catchy. It almost reminded me a bit of Sunday Morning by Maroon 5 and Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson.

Today I made a trip to the Renwick Museum in downtown DC. They change their art every year in July so I have not been there to check out the new stuff. And after living here for over a year, I have been needing to take a day to be a tourist. It seems the longer you live somewhere, the more unlikely you are to do all the fun touristy stuff. So I thought today would be a nice day for it before it gets too cold.

I enjoyed last year’s layout of the Renwick museum more than this year’s. Last year they had all the rooms decorated with studio art and you could walk in and out of the artwork. This year it was more like being in an art museum, approaching the walls and reading a caption of something you thought you could have made at home…

Here are a few pictures I took:

I got a decent amount of writing done today since it is Saturday. I am chugging my way through Act 2 and increasing my word count, slowly making my way to 50,000.

NaNoWriMo Word Count: 23,669

Almost half way there!
